Anna has worked with empowering and teaching people from diverse cultures and walks of life on their healing journeys for over 30 years in Sweden as well as in the United States.  From this, as well as personal experience with caregiving and illness, she has developed a deep appreciation for understanding healing as a holistic endeavor where body, mind and spirit are interconnected and therefore all must be attended to.

Anna believes that people have an innate drive to growth and wholeness.  Her approach to counseling relies on the therapeutic relationship as well as on mindful exploring of clients' body-mind experiences.  Anna also joins her clients in exploring meaning and purpose of their lives and in gaining self-acceptance and empathy for themselves and for others.

Anna's counseling interests include: Anxiety, Illness and Disability, LGBTQ+, Life Transitions, Depression, Personal and Spiritual Development, Relationship Issues, Self-Esteem, Trauma.

Anna is a Licensed Professional Counselor, and holds a Bachelor's degree in Occupational Therapy from Stockholm Health College in Stockholm, Sweden as well as Master's degrees in Occupational Therapy and Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Western Michigan University.
